How Does Upwards Support Soldiers & Their Families?

Through the Intergovernmental Support Agreement (IGSA), Upwards offers no-cost childcare for U.S. Army Reserve and National Guard members during eligible training days. 

Upwards’ military childcare program resolves the conflict between reserve or guard duties and parental responsibilities, alleviating stress for the Soldier while knowing their children are in safe hands. 

Upwards makes it easy for military families to find, tour, and enroll with licensed childcare providers, whether locally or where they are reporting to—no paperwork, no waitlists!

Upwards’ dedicated care managers serve as a military family’s personal concierge, guiding them through every step of the childcare process. 

Upwards’ childcare providers keep families connected through photo and video sharing, and updated on their child’s well-being via our mobile app, making training days stress-free for service members and fun-filled for their children.

Not in the Army Reserve or Guard? 

Upwards’ encourages families to still sign up, so that they will be notified promptly if the program becomes available to them.

If a service member does not belong to one of these branches, Upwards childcare services still deliver the same respect, priority and attention to them with support from their childcare navigation team.
