American Red Cross Military and Veteran Caregiver Network
The Military and Veteran Caregiver Network (MVCN) programs are designed to connect caregivers to a community of caregivers with similar life experiences within a network of support to reduce isolation, and increase engagement, knowledge, skills, and hope.
The MVCN helps caregivers of all eras and at all stages of caregiving by providing access to three evidence- based peer support programs:
- Online Peer Support Community
- Peer Mentor Support Program
- Peer Support Groups (Online & Community-Based)
Additionally, the MVCN supports health and wellness through Whole Health including:
- Caregivers: Your Life and Your Health Matters

American Red Cross Workshops for Caregivers
Caregiver Workshop
This module is designed for non-professional caregivers of wounded, ill and injured service members and veterans. It helps participants work through some of the biggest challenges that caregivers often face, including identity changes, isolation concerns and building a personal wellness plan.
Children and Youth in Caregiving Homes
Workshops are available for children ages 8-12 and teens ages 13-18 and are facilitated by licensed mental health professionals who volunteer with the American Red Cross. The workshops use small group discussions and interactive activities to help participants connect with group members and develop coping skills to navigate the unique aspects of their day to day lives.
